What makes an engagement session even more beautiful? A SUNRISE engagement session!

Stephanie has been a friend of mine since I moved to Virginia, and when she contacted me about her engagement I was SO happy!  I won’t be able to shoot Jonathan & Stephanie’s wedding, since I am already booked on their wedding day (tears!!) but shooting their engagement session is second best! We started off at a park next to Stephanie’s house. They told me they’ve had lots of good conversations on the walk around this lake so it’s extra special to them.  This lake turned gold and almost pink because of the sunrise!  I got to hear all about Jonathan’s proposal and their future plans and watch them light up in their excitement to be getting married! I love when I see couples having fun together…it was COLD but they didn’t mind! They were just happy to spend time with each other.

Here are some favorites from their sunrise engagement session! (Look at Stephanie’s RING….it’s even more stunning in real life!)

We finished our session at the house where Stephanie grew up, with a beautiful view of the hills & some pretty spring sunshine! We even shot a few photos of the two of them inside Jonathan’s jeep, which are some of my favorites 🙂

Jonathan & Stephanie, even though I’m so sad that I won’t be able to shoot your wedding & I’m honored that I got to be a part of your engagement! You two are so much fun! Can’t wait to see what life will bring for you.

xoxo,
Jess

I don’t think I have ever seen two people so much in love. You are such a sweet couple and I am so very happy for you both. May your life together be the adventure of love you have always dreamed of.

These are SO beautiful!! I love them, and the ones in the jeep are some of my favorites, too! Congratulations, Stephanie!
