Farm Session | Richmond Family Photographer
So excited to share this farm session with Hopie and her girls! These photos are some of my best family work….I love how these turned out! I’ve been doing photos at our farm since we moved and one thing I love about shooting here is the variety of locations and light that it has, but also the simplicity and beauty of some fields and woods. You don’t need a fancy backdrop or location to create beautiful portraits, because really, it’s all about the people in them! We had a perfectly mild evening for these photos, with some light clouds diffusing the sun just a bit. It made the light not overcast, but beautifully soft.
These girls were so precious! And so affectionate…I got multiple hugs during our session 🙂 And although the cows across the fields were a bit intimidating to them, they hopped the fence with me like true farm girls.
This is one of my favorite photos from the session! I love to use the moments in between posed shots to create images like this. In this shot, I asked them to walk from one tree to the other, to switch up the look of the photos. And this happened. So pretty!
Hopie is a talented photographer herself, so shooting these photos for her was truly an honor! (You can check out her work here!)
I love this photo. So much childhood innocence.
I have more family sessions scheduled this summer and I’m looking forward to all of them! These days are priceless, and the years are short! Always honored when moms choose me to document these memories for them.
I have more dates open for these sessions in July and August! Email me at Jessica@jessicalapp.com to inquire!
