Rob & Emily got married on Saturday & I’m excited to share their day with you!
There were so many sentimental details that Rob & Emily wove into their wedding, but the most important one was probably the location. The wedding was held at “Granny’s House”, Emily’s Grandmother who lives just down the road from where Emily grew up. Emily’s Granny is such an amazing, strong woman. She is spunky and hilarious, and she loves her granddaughters more than anything. Emily’s Grandfather passed away suddenly 4 years ago after a tragic accident down by the creek, and it’s still a painful thing to walk through, both for Emily and her family, and for Granny. The ceremony was held by the creek, in honor of Emily’s Grandfather and love he had for his family.
Family bonds are a beautiful thing, and I loved how evident they were at Emily & Rob’s wedding. That and all the Southern style!! Take it from a girl from the North, these people are SOUTHERN! It’s somewhat of a different culture down here and I love it 🙂 Such sweet, hospitable families that welcomed me as one of their own.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and the planning and effort these two put into this day paid off in such beautiful ways.
(Rob & Emily are probably sipping drinks on a beach right now, but here are a few favorites from their day, for the rest of you guys (ya’ll?) back home 🙂
The most beautiful details!!
Emily gifted Granny with a string of pearls, and the photos of that are so, so priceless.
The soft pink and cream florals are so perfect for a backyard wedding! So elegant and simple!
How adorable are these two?!!
Granny’s backyard is so beautiful, so it didn’t need much decoration. But the floral accents were perfect!
A few more portraits at sunset of course! 🙂
Everyone danced the night away & sent Rob & Emily off with sparklers!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Thomas!!
So excited to finally call you that! Enjoy that brand new house and the new season of life you’re entering. Marriage is such a wonderful thing!
