VMFA Engagement Session | Courtney & Nathan
So excited to share a few of my favorites from Courtney & Nathan’s VMFA engagement session! It was NOT a great day to take photos and was pouring on my way to Richmond. When we got to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts it was still raining a little bit but we decided to start shooting under some of the buildings and then see if the rain would let up. And it did! I was so glad we decided to stick it out because the rainy weather in these photos actually made them look pretty magical. I love shooting at the VMFA….there are so many great spots and a beautiful mixture of classy architecture and greens.
Courtney and Nathan were so photogenic and were champs for braving the weather with me. And then we talked for 30 minutes after the session about wedding stuff and work and life. So thankful for clients who are my kind of people 🙂 They are getting married at The Barn at Timber Creek in September and I’m already excited!
Take a scroll through my faves!
I love shooting at the parking garage at the VMFA, but that day there was about 4 inches of water covering half of it! I was standing barefoot in the water for this shot! Also Courtney was stunning in this blue dress from Lulus!
What a gorgeous ring. Can’t wait to photograph it on the wedding day 🙂
Brought this cute clear umbrella and I love this shot.
Thanks for braving the wet weather with me Courtney & Nathan! Can’t wait till September!
