How do I best describe Lennart & Kelly’s wedding at James Madison University? It was absolutely gorgeous….classy, unique, colorful, intimate. Also HOT, as in 103 degrees (can’t believe Virginia weather sometimes!) but Lennart & Kelly and their families celebrated in spite of the heat, and celebrated well.
Lennart is from the Netherlands and guests came from all over the world to celebrate with them! Kelly graduated from JMU and the bonds that she had with her bridesmaids, who were also college friends, were strong. (I also loved having my sweet friend Lorraine in the bridal party! Having friends at a wedding just makes it so much more fun!)

I absolutely loved this day and Lennart and Kelly. Enjoy some of my favorites and leave this sweet couple some words of congratulations when you get to the end!

Kelly & her girls got ready at a cute Bnb just minutes from the JMU campus. I loved the light streaming in through the windows in the one little bedroom and so we shot all the getting ready photos there! Doesn’t Kelly have amazing style?? Look at her shoes!

The first look, and portraits! I am just so in love with Lennart & Kelly’s portraits. They were so amazing in front of the camera, so effortless!

I loved the blue that Kelly picked for her bridesmaids, and the colors in the bouquets. The guys were naturals in front of the camera too! Even though we had a bit of a time crunch for photos, they made it so easy for me. If photographing the bridal party could be this easy and fun at every wedding, I would be happy!

The ceremony was out in the lawn in the morning and the reception over lunch, and with the small amount of people and eating outside on the terrace just felt like a beautiful, intimate garden party!

Lennart & Kelly were sent off enthusiastically with flower petals and loud cheering. What a beautiful day!
