Mary Cate and Nathan’s wedding at the Grove at Kempton is one that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time! It was a sunny, warm day in Pennsylvania; perfect for an outdoor ceremony. It was the first time I’ve shot at the Grove at Kempton and I instantly feel in love with the old stone barn and rolling fields. The Grove at Kempton is such a pretty venue and reminded me why I love Pennsylvania so much. The stone barn just reminded me of home I guess. I got to go home and see my family for a bit, and catch up with some of my PA friends the day after the wedding. It was such a great weekend!
Mary Cate chose simple, classic colors; navy and gray for the bridal party with white florals, created by her talented bridesmaid Khristina with Selah Ray Florals! Mary Cate’s dress was simple stunning and was made for her! Also it was perfect for twirling. So you’ll see a lot of that in these photos! She is so down to earth and fun. She wasn’t stressed about every detail of her wedding but just so happy to finally be marrying the love of her life! I LOVE how expressive Nathan is….just wait until you see the first look! He was just exploding with energy and joy! Mary Cate and Nathan compliment each other in wonderful ways…they were SO excited for this day and it showed in every single photo we took!
Mary Cate and Nathan both live in Virginia but since they have family in Pennsylvania and New Jersey it just made sense to have their wedding in PA. Their family and friends came from all over to celebrate with them and it was just a big joyful party 🙂
Enjoy my favorites from Mary Cate & Nathan’s wedding at The Grove at Kempton!
The Barn has this gorgeous textured wall that reminds me of something European!
Just LOOK at Nathan’s face at their first look! This is definitely going in the portfolio of “favorite first looks” 🙂
I had such a hard time picking favorites from Nathan and Mary Cate’s portraits…I loved all of them!
I enjoyed this bridal party so much!
The lovely ceremony setting, Nathan’s beaming smile and Mary Cate holding back tears while walking towards her groom. All favorite parts of this ceremony. Also, Mary Cate and her bridesmaids walked in to Lord of the Rings music! I’m a huge fan 🙂
The reception was held in the lower part of the barn; I loved the stone walls! The dances were especially sweet; Mary Cate’s parents were celebrating their anniversary on the very same day!
A few portraits at the end of the evening are a MUST on beautiful days like this! I’m so glad Mary Cate and Nathan chose to do these; it only took about 10 minutes but they are some of my favorites from the day.
You can’t help but love these two!
The evening ended with toasts, dancing, and a sparkler send off for the bride and groom!
Your day was truly magical Mary Cate and Nathan! I love seeing how you are quick to serve the people around you and each other, and your excitement for life and marriage! You treasure each other so, so well. It was such an honor to be a part of your day!!
