Salubria House Bridal Portraits
Now that Tate & Jordan are officially married, I’m so excited to share the stunning bridal portraits we created together at Salubria House!
Tate was a dream bride. (More from her and Jordan’s wedding coming soon!) My friend Mimi with The Flower Petaler crafted the most beautiful floral installation and bouquet. These flowers were like lace and they also perfectly complimented the indoor space.
Shot on a mixture of color and black and white film.
Historic Salubria is a gorgeous 18th-century Georgian-style manor house built for the rector of the local church. The name Salubria is Latin for “healthful”. There is old world feel in the detail of this house. An arched winding staircase, wooden fireplace mantles and tall, deep windows that let in beautiful natural light. Such beauty.
The walls of this house have stories to tell.
“Besides being an excellent example of 18th century architecture, Salubria stands as a silent witness to history. It witnessed the growth of the frontier of the piedmont, with luminaries such as Thomas Jefferson and the Marquis de Lafayette passing by its doors. It also withstood the turmoil of the Civil War and the societal change that came with it. While the landscape changed around it, the interior of Salubria has remained remarkably the same“
Tate, you are a vision! Photographing you in this space on my favorite medium of film was inspiring.
xoxo!
