A colorful Spring Editorial at Atelier Studio

Last month I collaborated with some of my favorite vendors to create a gorgeous spring editorial! For about 5 years now I’ve done a creative project during slow season, something to inspire me for the coming year.

For this shoot we worked at one of my favorite studio spaces, Atelier Studio in Lynchburg. The stunning hand-painted backdrop was from Lindale Studios. (Can we talk about how gorgeous that blue is? You NEED to check out the rest of her work. She is amazing.)

For this shoot I wanted to work with blue and orange, as complimentary colors, and the bouquet by The Flower Petaler perfectly brought out the accent colors. I wanted a simple, romantic story focused on color and close up details. A design created in winter, but that reminds you that Spring is coming and with it, color and warmth and life.

This work excites me and reminds me that beauty is found all around us. Sometimes it just takes you retraining your eye to see it in a new way.

I can’ think of a better way to start the year than with a creative shoot to fuel inspiration for 2024. Thanks to my beautiful models Becca and Preston, and the rest of the vendor team, for bringing this project to life. What a gift it is, to create.
