Getting married at your childhood home, especially when that home is a gorgeous farm, has to be the ultimate dream come true. (I don’t know for sure; I didn’t have a backyard wedding. Although I wish I did.) There is something incredibly sweet about committing to the love of your life at the home where all your best memories were made.
Everyone who knows Ben & Sarah well would say without hesitation that they are PERFECT for each other. Their story is beautiful and full of the grace of God and their wedding day was full of joy and focused on what really matters.
So many things I loved: the ceremony in a big field with a view. Sarah crying while she walked down the aisle and Ben walked up to meet her. The reception in an open air barn down the lane, home cooked food, a coffee mug as a favor. Ben & Sarah spending the evening talking to their guests, no formal speeches or dancing, just enjoying the evening with all the people they love. It was all beautiful and gave me a bit of nostalgia for the days when weddings weren’t such an elaborate production.
Photographing (and attending) this wedding was a huge honor and I’m excited to share a few favorites from Ben & Sarah’s day.
The excitement for the first look!
A stunning ceremony location.
My favorite sunset photos, of course.
Ben & Sarah, I’m so so happy that God brought the two of you together and I can’t wait to watch your journey unfold.
Much love!!
