Blue Ridge Mountain Engagement | Caleb & Beth
There’s something kind of magical about photos in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Especially with a couple with this much chemistry!
The location was Beth’s idea, a little overlook off of Skyline Drive, with about a half mile hike to the top. A location like this takes little more work to get to than some of the overlooks, but the upside is that we didn’t have to compete with other tourists for these views. Except for a few hikers who went past us during our shoot, we were completely alone! The hike was a little rugged but SO WORTH IT. I’m ready to come back to this spot just to sit on these rocks and watch the sunset.
A few of my favorites from this Blue Ridge Mountain Engagement Session. Drink in the views!
Beth you are stunning!
We had the prettiest light during this session! A mixture of full sun and overcast and everything in between. Sometimes light can be really harsh when you’re up this high with nothing to diffuse it, which makes the direction of the light really important. But some light clouds rolled in and diffused the light for me!
This photo is one of my favorites!
These colors are to die for.
I told them they look like movie stars. I mean, it’s true. Also I love that Beth just kicked her shoes off for these photos and was walking around on the rocks barefoot. South Dakota girl right there 🙂
Such a special session with an incredible couple. Caleb and Beth I can’t wait to see where life takes you! And even though I’m not able to photograph your wedding (SAD!) I’ll be stalking Jaqueline Waters Photography for your wedding photos! 🙂 I’m so glad I got to document this part of your journey for you.
xoxo,
Jess
