Virginia Cliffe Inn Wedding | Jake & Emily

Jake and Emily planned their day from Texas and so their wedding day was the first time we met! But I instantly loved them. Working with them was a TREAT. These two are incredibly kind, warm, fun, relaxed, classy. They have so many close friends who had beautiful words to speak about them which says a lot about who they are as individuals and as a couple. They truly soaked in the day, and made sure all their guests enjoyed themselves to the fullest.

Emily’s vision for the day was a garden party theme. Florals in every detail-dusty rose, cream, and green- elegant drinks at cocktail hour, an intimate tent reception in the back yard of Virginia Cliffe Inn with twinkly lights in the evening. The radar showed a huge storm looming all afternoon and evening but it never hit! We didn’t feel a drop and it was just cloudy and mild all day. It was perfect!

(Also I have to add. I can honestly say this was probably the most low-stress wedding I’ve ever photographed. Not because it wasn’t a full day..it was! There were a ton of moving parts! But a FABULOUS vendor team led by Marylee Marmer-one of the best in the business-made all the difference. Hiring the right vendors is everything, friends. )
